  Timothy, a lawyer from Guthrie and Brady, recently contacted me because he was to represent a tenant that I had evicted for failure to pay rent. He informed me that he could keep my tenant in my condo rent free for several months if we didn't come to some sort of agreement. I told him that she owed rent and was a very bad tenant who had no respect for the rules of the association or that of the lease and that I wanted her out. He demanded a Jury trial but the Judge told him emphatically that it was too late to demand a Jury trial. He then, again in an attempt to delay the process, demanded longer than a week for the trial to take place. Again, he said no because the Judge knew this case was not complicated (Judge's words) and did not warrant more than 1 week for evidence collection. Timothy lost the case and his tenant was evicted. The tenant is now beyond her stay and when I asked Timothy for the keys, he said that his tenant would be more willing to comply with the LEGAL ORDER if I paid her $2000. A lawyer that loses and then demands the winner essentially bribe the losing party in order to honor a legal order is not a lawyer I would recommend. I would strongly discourage working with The Law Offices of Guthrie and Brady of Schaumburg, IL.

  My husband and I needed help evicting one of our tenants. I called around and spoke to several offices in the Schaumburg area. All of whom were only concerned with THEIR retainer fee and what we could provide to THEM. I came across Guthrie & Brady and spoke to "Dean-o". He was compassionate towards our situation, very helpful and knowledgable as to the law and the eviction process. I felt comfortable with him and he is the reason why we retained this firm. He walked us through the whole process, not skipping one beat. He went above and beyond for us . . . more than any firm has ever done. Not only did he assist in settling our case, he got an eviction date for us and our tenants were out of our home 30 days after the initial court date. I would highly recommend Dean-o and this firm. If you want a class-act firm who knows what they are doing when it comes to eviction, this is the firm for you. We couldn't have been more pleased with our decision to retain them!!!!

  Office seems to me to be very stressful and uncomfortable. Staff and Tim the attorney in my opinion seems arrogant and on the defensive with every thing you ask him.Sorry won't be getting anymore of my business
